A petit edition of the narrative of two of Franklin's voyages through the Arctic, plus Dr. Richardson's narrative in the last volume. The Coppermine expedition proved disastrous, with many of his men dying of starvation or scurvy. His following voyage focused on navigating from the Mackenzie River westward to Point Beechey. A well-read edition, rare with the plates and maps intact.
