This edition still includes the folding coloured panoramas and some charming engraved illustrations in the text. Endpapers dated "Juni 1864". Tenth edition. liv, 458pp, coloured frontispiece depicting the arms of the various Swiss Cantons, with original tissue, 15 maps, 7 town plans, 6 panoramas, some coloured, previous owner's inscription on reverse of frontispiece, bookseller's label on front pastedown, skilfully restored preserving the publisher's old-type red cloth, inner hinges strengthened with tape, gilt lettered; overall a very good copy Hinrichsen D298a
