Includes an account of Taylor's defense of Fort Harrison in 1812, the Battle of Okee-chobe during the Seminole War in 1837, and the battles of Palo Alto, Resaca de la Palma, Buena Vista, and Monterrey. In addition, a separately-printed and paginated section at the end lists "Names of the Killed, Wounded, and Missing" in the Mexican-American War.
