ADDRESS OF JUDGE HENRY A. GRADY AT MOORE'S CREEK BATTLE GROUND AUGUST 13, 1925 WITH ORIGINAL POEM, ENTITLED "MARY SLOCUMB'S RIDE." Presentation copy, inscribed by Grady at the top of the front wrapper. Additionally inscribed by him vertically along the gutter of the front wrapper, and with a couple of holographic corrections to the text in his hand. Moore's Creek Bridge was the site of a decisive victory for the fledgling American forces on February 27, 1776. OCLC locates only six copies, all but one of them in North Carolina institutions.
