North Africa Geiser (1848 - 1923) inherited his mother's photographic studio in 1875 that she opened in Algeria in 1853 and later became best known for his portraits of Algerian people in indigenous costumes. Having taken advantage of the popularity of postcards in the end of XIX century he turned it into a very successful business. Albumen print. Good tonal range; small clean tear to botton margin.
