In this fine example of miniature binding, the refined French woman of the early nineteenth century could find a variety of songs to interpret on well-known melodies. Beautifully illustrated by five engraved plates, this copy also contains fourteen song sheets with tunes composed by composers of the time, such as Louis-Emmanuel Jadin and Antoine Romagnesi. Original printed binding with allegorical figures, matching slipcase with beautiful decorative prints. Engraved title, 156 pp. including 48 with engraved music, [8] pp. calendar for 1827, 5 engraved plates with protection leaf.
