Egypt This photograph shows the moving of the collection of the Egyptian museum into the annex of Ismail Pasha's Palace in Gizeh, in 1891. The collection was moved from Boulaq, after the French archaeologist August Mariette, who put together the collection died. In 1901 it was transferred to its present location in Cairo. Albumen print. Fair tonal range and in good condition, title in manuscript in French on verso.
