Uncommon and fragile title. Williams was the author of Volume IV of the Times History of the War in South Africa , he served in the Boer War in the HAC Battery of the CIV alongside Erskine Childers. This copy has an interesting ms. appendix in which a reader has listed those 9 officers, veterans of the Boer War, who were still alive in 1952.
