From 1852-1854, Richard Clark of Philadelphia published a number of Connecticut township plans based on surveys by Lawrence Fagan. This map of New Milford in Litchfield County is one of the largest and most elaborate. Drawn on a scale of five inches to the mile, the map shows virtually every building in the township, with most identified by owner. In addition, there are twenty-five vignettes of area residences, churches, and public buildings, plus a large view of the village of Gaylordsville.
