Printed from the same setting as the first edition, but by a different printer, W. H. Dargan, Ltd., Printers, Smithfield, E.C., with new preliminary leaves and with the acknowledgments leaf placed at the end of the text. The printed page area is some 2 mm shorter in this edition, and the printing a little smudgy: it is most unlikely that Mathews would have gone to the cost of stereotyping the book at the time, and the type was clearly not left standing, so the only conclusion can be that the reprint was made from stereos made photographically from a printed copy of the book. Very good copy.
