Four Poems. A scarce offprint of four anti-war poems originally published in the Cambridge Magazine the previous year: "Base Details" (which first appeared in the magazine's 28 April issue), "Does It Matter?" (6 October), "Dreamers" (13 October), and "Glory of Women" (8 December).During the war, many of Sassoon's best-known poems were first published in left-leaning periodicals. For the poet, "weeklies such as the Cambridge Magazine and The Nation not only gave him a platform for his own verse, but also kept him informed of current anti-war views" (Wilson, p. 375). The exact print run for the present publication is unknown, but was certainly a small one. Keynes writes that "production was arranged by A. T. Bartholemew, and from notes made by him it seems probable that around 200 or 250 copies of each reprint were made".
