Collins was the creator of the first BBC radio serial, Dick Barton: Special Agent, which ran from 1946 to 1951, as well as the co-creator of the ITV network, which broke the BBC's stranglehold on television in 1955. Collins got Williams a job his old job at the Daily News reviewing
