Second edition, after the first of the same year, of the debates in Parliament on the terms of the treaty of peace ending the war in America. The volume prints the Feb. 17, 1783 debates in the House of Commons and the House of Lords, and the Feb. 21 debates in the House of Commons. While this session actually ended with a close vote of 207 to 190 in favor of censuring the terms of peace as "the concessions made to the adversaries of Great Britain...are greater than they were entitled to," the Treaty of Paris would finally be signed on Sept. 3, 1783. A most important collection of political statements surrounding the end of the American Revolution.
