TREATY - UNITED STATES AND MEXICO. MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT.... The first Congressional printing of the Gadsden Purchase Treaty, by which the U.S. purchased the southern parts of the present states of Arizona and New Mexico, the last land added to the Continental U.S. The United States gained the land, and Mexico received ten million dollars and an end to covetousness from her neighbor to the north. A note on the box says this is the Streeter copy, obtained by William Reese when the Streeter Serial Set was disassembled in 1977. OCLC locates only five copies. Scarce.
