Attractive, and competently drawn, manuscript chart of the environs of Vera Cruz with the islands off the coast, presumably from a Spanish manuscript pilot book of Spanish possessions in the West Indies’ basin. While undated, this chart clearly predates the printed chart in the Portulano de la America Setentrional published by the Direccion De Hidrografia in Madrid in 1809.
