The final settlement between England and Spain at the end of the Napoleonic Wars. An important treaty which guarantees for England most favored nation status in the event of the commerce of Spanish America being opened to foreign trade. Includes an article of agreement regarding the injustice and inhumane nature of the traffic in slaves and a SEPARATE ARTICLE stipulating that the king of Spain not engage in any treaty with France "of the nature not known under the domination of the Family Compact."
