AN ALMANACK FOR THE YEAR OF OUR LORD CHRIST, 1740. The second of Joseph Stafford's three Boston almanacs, issued for 1739, 1740, and 1744. Stafford also composed two Rhode Island almanacs for 1737 and 1738. Above the calendar for each month from January to November, Stafford offers a mathematical problem "for the Sons of Art, to divert themselves in a Winter's Evening" (p.[14]). An anatomical illustration of the zodiac appears on p.[2]. NAIP locates six copies.
