Whittemore, Nathaniel:

$1,250 · Offered by William Reese Company

AN ALMANACK FOR THE YEAR OF OUR LORD, 1726. An early 18th-century almanac by Nathaniel Whittemore, who composed a series of almanacs issued in Boston between 1705 and 1740. Evans ascribes printing to Thomas Fleet, who was evidently the only printer to use the particular cut of the anatomical zodiac appearing on page [2]. The final page contains an essay entitled, "Something of the Matter of Elements, and the Composition of Bodies: The Element of Fire first."
