A mid-18th-century New England almanac by Nathan Bowen, who issued a series of almanacs published in Boston between 1721 and 1737. In addition to the calendar year, this NEW-ENGLAND DIARY: OR, ALMANACK includes predictions for the year's eclipses and "a brief account of some estimates made by two very ingenious persons [Sir William Petty and Capt. Edmund Halley] about the proportion or difference of men's lives, according to their several ages."
