POOR RICHARD IMPROVED: BEING AN ALMANACK AND EPHEMERIS OF THE MOTIONS OF THE SUN AND MOON...FOR THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1795.... A Federal Era Poor Richard's almanac, containing various reflections, recipes, and bits of verse. One article, by Mr. Wm. Forsyth, describes a method of "Curing Injuries and Defects in Trees" using cow dung and "lime rubbish of old buildings;" another offers a method of "extracting a spirituous liquor from Carrots." The woodcut illustration, "The Anatomy of Man's Body, as govern'd by the Twelve Constellations," appears on the verso of the title-leaf.
