Go Set A Watchman.
£3,500 · Offered by Maggs Bros Ltd
Although publicised as the sequel of To Kill a Mockingbird by the publishers in 2015, the book has since it’s publication, been described as a first draft of the famous Pulitzer prize winning novel. First written in 1957, 3 years before the publication of To Kill a Mockingbird , the novel is set some 20 years later. It reads very much as a draft, and is an interesting insight into the workings of a much loved novel. Number 39 of 100 copies signed by the author. A fine copy, housed in an elegant velvet-lined Solander box with inner tie, in green and brown, lettered in black and with railway line image on upper cover. A fine copy, as issued.
