First edition of the second volume of Hutchinson's history of Massachusetts Bay from its 1691 charter until 1750. The work includes an index to the first two volumes. The first volume, originally published in Boston in 1764, discusses the early years of the colony from first settlement in 1628 until 1691. Hutchinson, the last colonial governor of Massachusetts, fled the colony at the onset of the Revolution.
