A rare and curious item. Hitchcock lists WOODWARD'S ARCHITECTURE... as a one-year periodical from 1870 in four parts only; the present volume, however, is issue "number five." It is not included in the UNION LIST OF SERIALS. The volume is basically a catalogue of and series of advertisements for architectural books and designs published by George Woodward. An excellent source for bibliographers and historians of architectural publishing in 19th-century America. OCLC locates no copies.
