Extremely Rare Out-of-Print Original 1899 Unstated Edition. Pages are unmarked. The lettering on the rice paper from the plates feel like engraving or typewritten. No double printing from the plates, of the pages that we could see since most of them are still attached on the top edge to each other. A tiny ink mark on page 672 (images). Page 186 has a tiny edge tear (images). No tanning of the pages. The lightest shelf/edge wear. No cover wear. The lightest wear on the gold lining - top outer pages. Inner covers have light tanning.
