A later edition of Robinson's essay on medical botany, first published in Boston in 1830. Robinson had not met Dr. Thomson at the time he gave these lectures, pretty well conceding he thought the good doctor a genius, although the principles he advocated were "highly unpopular." Robinson discusses theories of medical botany throughout history, recent American theories, and reviews Thomson's ideas. A Boston edition was also published in 1835, but this 1835 Columbus printing is not in Cordasco and is relatively scarce. Morgan locates only seven copies.
