CONFIDENTIAL. IN SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES, DECEMBER 12th, 1827. THE FOLLOWING CONVENTION WAS READ TWICE.... Evidently a confidential printing of the commercial treaty with England, printed for the use of the Senate during review. This treaty extends the provisions of the treaty of 1815, establishing "reciprocal liberty of commerce," and giving American ships the right to trade in the British possessions of the East Indies. An unusual state of the 1827 treaty with Great Britain. No copies listed on OCLC, nor in AMERICAN IMPRINTS. Rare.
