RAPPORT AF CHEFEN FÖR LAND-KONTORET I FÖRENTA STATERNA. A Swedish language land office report, most valuable for containing the "Map of the United States and Territories...," compiled by the General Land Office under Josiah S. Wilson's direction in 1866. The detailed map shows the United States in its entirety, with grids indicating surveyed portions and color-coded mineral deposit locations. It was drawn by Theodore Franks. "An enormous map in splendid detail and of particular interest as showing the mineral deposits by means of various colored dots. Arizona is, of course, literally peppered with the dots representing gold, silver and copper" - Eberstadt. Rare. OCLC locates only one copy, at Balch Institute for Ethnic Studies. Not in Rumsey.
