Yubari 1982-1992.

£150 · Offered by Maggs Bros Ltd

Yubari was founded on April 1, 1943 as a coal mining town. At the height of the industry the town was home to some 120,000 people. When most of the mines were closed in the 1980s this caused considerable social problems and the population shrank to around 50,000. The present photobook cronicles the struggles of the coalminers and their families. No copy in OCLC.
