Loupežnik. First edition, first printing, of Čapek's scarce first work. Loupežník [The Outlaw] was first performed in March 1920 at the National Theatre in Prague, with the actress Olga Scheinpflugová in the central role. Scheinpflugová and Čapek, who met during production of the play, were married in 1935. In 1911 an unpublished version of the play was written by Čapek with his brother, Josef, who designed the wrappers for this edition.
