LAFAYETTE ET LA RÉVOLUTION DE 1830.... A lengthy account of Lafayette's actions during the "July Revolution" of 1830. After a triumphant tour of the United States in 1824, he enjoyed renewed political influence at home. Through Lafayette's efforts, Louis Philippe was installed as king, though he would later come to criticize Louis' reactionary politics. A good summation of Lafayette's last major political endeavor.
