Antique 1913 First Edition – Myths of the Hindus & Buddhists – Sister Nivedita & Ananda Coomaraswamy Antique 1913 copy of Myths of the Hindus & Buddhists by Sister Nivedita (Margaret E. Noble) and Ananda K. Coomaraswamy, published in London by George G. Harrap & Company. Based on the title page and publication information shown, this appears to be an original 1913 first edition printing. A beautifully produced and increasingly collectible work on Hindu and Buddhist mythology, symbolism, folklore, and religious tradition, featuring numerous color illustrations by Indian artists under the supervision of Abanindro Nath Tagore. Condition is consistent with age and antique use. The book is fitted with a protective plastic cover, and some visible reflections or apparent surface marks in photos may be due to the plastic covering rather than the book itself. The front cover artwork and gold lettering remain especially vibrant and present very well for its age. The spine and binding show expected age-related discoloration, fading, and wear, while still retaining strong visual appeal overall. Interior pages exhibit age toning and foxing/yellow spotting throughout, which is common in antique books of this era. Despite this, the colored illustration plates remain rich, vivid, and in excellent condition. Binding appears intact and solid overall, though the book should be handled carefully due to age. A highly desirable early printing and an impressive collectible for readers and collector
