From an edition limited to twenty-seven copies, printed on Japan vellum. Written in the first person, but most likely penned by Leeth's interviewer, Ewel Jeffries. A reprint of the very rare 1831 Lancaster, Ohio edition. John Leeth (whose name is sometimes spelled "Leith") was a fur trader in Ohio when he was captured by Delaware Indians, escaped, and was captured again by Shawnees. He spent much of the 1770s and '80s on the run from Indians in Ohio.
