A petition to Parliament by Montagu Venables-Bertie, Earl of Abingdon, and Robert Shirley, Earl Ferrers, the guardians of the children of John Burke, 9th Earl of Clanricarde. Burke had fought in Ireland in the army of James II against William of Orange and was taken prisoner at the Battle of Aughrim in 1691.
