Attractive broadside reinforcing the strictures of Martial Law in London. Under the terms of an earlier Act [1646] it was possible for “Delinquents” to be licensed to enter “the Cities of London or Westminster, or the late Lines of Communication, or within Twenty miles thereof”, the present resolution revokes that licence. Once passed it was resolved that; “That this Vote be sent to the several Committees of the Militia for the City of London, Westminster, Southwark, and the Hamlets: Who are required to cause the same forthwith to be published, with Sound of Trumpet.”
