Scarce. An early account of Abysinnian fauna, Blanford’s important guide begins with a narrative of the journey, before devoting the second and third parts to the geology and zoology collected. Blanford worked for the Royal School of Mines and, after spending time in India, joined their expedition to Abysinnia in 1867. He accompanied the troops to Magdala, amassing a large collection of geological and zoological specimens.
