Description The Silmarillion J.R.R. Tolkien Harper Collins Deluxe Edition 2002 Leather slipcase 250 x 155 mm 384 pages Gilded edges Purchased at the time of release. This item was purchased for collection purposes, so I only briefly looked through it once for inspection upon purchase. I have not read it or opened and closed it multiple times. It has been stored in a dark place. I wore cotton gloves when taking the photos. As shown in the 10th image, the areas where the case is joined together appeared to show a little of the base color from the time of purchase. Both the top and bottom of the case are in a similar condition. I researched the details for this listing and it appears to be a limited edition of only 1000 copies. It is being traded at high prices in specialized shops for overseas Tolkien merchandise.
