An extremely elegantly printed speech in praise of Cosimo II de’ Medici (1590-1521), written soon after he became Grand Duke following the death of Ferdinando in 1609. Cosimo died at the age of 30 in 1620, having been a great patron of the arts and sciences (see Cochrane Florence in the forgotten centuries ). Rare: three copies listed copy in SBN OPAC -Bibliotheca Nazionale Centrale, Rome (2) and Casanatense (1).
