In His Own Image. First edition, first printing, first issue binding, with the highly scarce jacket, Wolff noting "no copy traced". The sheets were printed in the US, with 1,500 sets imported to the UK, where the book was published on 5 March 1901. It was released in the US one month later, on 6 April 1901. Copies issued in the US were bound in purple silky cloth, and in the UK in green, grey, red, or dark blue cloth. Woolf suggests, however, that the earliest copies issued in the UK were imported from the US in purple silky cloth, as in the present copy.
