A scarce lithograph, depicting a Jewish ritual bath Mikvah in a North African country. The Mikvah is a Sephardic tradition in which the bride, her female friends and relatives take a pre-nuptial bath together. Lunois uses this imagined scene to show us a handsome nude just before she is wrapped in a towel. Using his technique of wash lithography, Lunois gives the moment a rich, impressionistic feel.
