A rare Spanish edition of the preliminary articles of peace between Spain and England which ended their conflict in the American Revolution. The primary impact of this treaty was to return the Floridas to Spain, thus setting the stage for conflicts between the United States and Spain on its southern and western borders, and ending twenty years of British control of the Floridas, which had effectively been lost when Galvez seized Pensacola in 1781.
