Presumably the second edition, after the first of 1806, with the same plates and text but with the type reset. A handsomely produced volume, with the brightly colored line-and-stipple engravings by James Godby, after original drawings by P. Van Lerberghi, and the text by M. Buonaiuti. The illustrations are set mainly in and around Naples and Rome, and depict natives in various modes of entertainment and activity.
