Alalio conveys the hope from a Reverend from Cesi that his friend might be employed as a judge at the Rota. We learn from the signature at the end that the writer is a judge: “Piet[ro] Ang[iolo] Alalio Au[ditore], and it is evident from the beginning of the letter that he was in the service of Raffaele de’ Medici. The letter is written on the recto of the first page, with the address on the verso of the second page. Originally folded, traces of seal. A few holes, outer margin defective with loss of some letters.
