Blue cloth four-flap folio album with silver lettering on front, laid-in bound book with brown paper wrappers printed black, prints on T. H. Saunders paper. The portfolio binding was made at the Royal College of Art, London Twenty gorgeous, contemporary ornithological aquatints of Parrots, here as desirable artist's proofs from an early Butterworth and Low collaboration. The art historian Ian Dunlop has called Butterworth's Macaws as without rival this century.
