Spring 1938 trade catalogue for the My Treasure Box gallery, advertising Chinese works of art and antiques. An attractively compiled and rare survival of the business activities of My Treasure Box, a Shanghai-based art dealership run by Anna Iskandrian-Hüpeden, whose name cards are found in a pocket on the inner front cover. The album promises "prices very considerably below... Europe and America" for a range of fine art pieces and antiques, including Qianlong-era and yongqing ceramics, a Tang dynasty bronze vessel, and a Song incense tripod, as well as Tang horses and figurines and antique mandarin robes. Iskandrian-Hüpeden traded out of a premises on Rue Cardinal Mercier, a hangout of J. G. Ballard known as the "Fifth Avenue of Shanghai." My Treasure Box was only one of her business ventures; at one point, she ran a beauty salon on the same street and was the official agent for the British beauty brand Elizabeth Bock.
