The Role of Banking in Japan's Economic Development. A copy of the doctoral dissertation of the second woman to serve as Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank. Following her 43-year career with the organization, she became an international consultant on Asian banking.Ehrlich (1919-2015) based her research on her experiences at the Fed, during which she had observed the reliance of Japanese industry on bank credit. Her supervisors included Adolph Lowe, Felicia Deyrup, and Alfred Kahler.
