Money Credit & Commerce. First edition, first impression, of this study of the theory of value in economics, examining the "direction of man's efforts for the attainment of material ends" and exploring improvements "which may increase the command of the peoples of the world over their resources" (p. v). This title was the third in a planned four-book series. The first was Principles of Economics, published in 1890; the second, Industry and Trade, appeared in 1919. Marshall had intended a fourth book entitled Progress - its Economic Conditions, but old age prevented him completing it.
