This edition followed the lawsuit brought by Mr Howard against Baedekers about disparaging remarks in the previous edition which resulted in the elimination of Howard's Hotels from the list of hotels in Jaffa and Jerusalem in the present edition. The Peninsula of Sinai has also been added to this volume. Plans of Bethelem and Haifa have been added. Third edition, cxviii, 472pp, 20 maps, 48 plans, and a panorama of Jerusalem, Charles Scribner's price list pasted down on front endpaper, some pencilling inside on endpapers; publisher's red cloth gilt, some wear to the spine; a very good copy,
