The National Debt and Government Credit. First edition, first printing, of the report of the committee set up to answer the question of whether the expansion of Federal indebtedness undermined government credit, finding in the negative, and offering proof that the credit of the federal government has been maintained despite the increase of debt. This proof is drawn from statistics, comparison with other countries, and psychological factors. The report nonetheless closes with a proposal to reduce the federal debt by a billion dollars a year.
