A Treatise on the Principles and Practical Influence of Taxation and the Funding System. First edition of this detailed analysis of taxation and fiscal policy on Ricardian principles. McCulloch was one of Ricardo's most eminent disciples and his writings did much to make the doctrines of Ricardo known to a broad public.The Appendix includes an article on Indian Revenue systems. With the bookplate and ownership signature to the front pastedown of Josiah Wedgwood, 1st Baron Wedgwood (1872-1943), a descendent of the famous eponymous potter, and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster under Ramsay Macdonald's first government from January to November 1924. Wedgwood took a key interest in economic matters, and was a prominent single-tax activist, as preached by Henry George.
