An Introduction to the Theory of the Human Mind. First edition by the Catholic priest and schoolmaster James Usher (1720-1771). Usher sought to provide a system of the mind which could be used to counter the Deists, and prove that the operation of the mind was a parcel of, and proof of, God's divine plan. The book is scarce, with ESTC listing only 11 copies.
